Information Machine LLC (“Information Machine”) recognizes that you should have the right to know how the data we collect is used and what controls you have over the data once shared with us. When you use the Information Machine API through a third party app, Information Machine does not capture any personally identifiable information. We use a unique numeric identifier generated by the app to represent you in all interactions with your data so that your personal information is completely private.

What data does Information Machine collect?

Registration Information:

When you request Information Machine Services, you may be asked for the user name & password you use to access third party merchant web sites and Internet services. We will use this information for providing the services you requested and accessing the invoice/purchase data from the web sites you select on your behalf, so that we can present the requested information to the app you’re using.

Information From Third Party Web Sites:

In order to display information to you, the Service collects, on your behalf, historic and subsequent purchases from the merchant that you’ve chosen to connect.. For example, if you register a store account through our Service, we will collect product level transactional information from your account. The data collected is strictly limited to: Date of Transaction, Store Name, Product Description (of items you’ve purchased), Quantity Purchased, UPC, Price Paid, Unit of Measure/Weight, Store Address and Invoice Number

How Does Information Machine Use Your Data?

We use the information we collect to add your purchases to your Account(s). The applications you connect to our services through use your purchase data to add value to the services they offer.

For market research / data collection purposes:

We use the anonymous purchase data we collect with our partner third-party market research companies who may leverage the data to support the creation of their own market research reports based on proprietary data they collect via other sources. These clients will never have any idea whose data they are viewing, the only thing they see is a unique numeric identifier; no name or email is tied to this data.

How Is Your Data Secured?

Information Machine is committed to earning and keeping your trust. We understand the need for your Personal Information to remain secure and private, and we have implemented security practices and procedures designed to safeguard your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Does Information Machine use cookies?

No. Information Machine does not use cookies.

How long does Information Machine retain your personal information?

In connection with your use of the Service, Information Machine will collect and retain your information, both the information you provide directly and the information we obtain from Third Party sites, for as long as you are an active user of the Service. Should you decide to cancel your Service, we will discontinue the collection of information from Third Party sites on your behalf. We reserve the right to retain the information collected up to the date of your cancellation of the Service. This data will always be maintained under the same security and privacy controls that are in place for active Information Machine Service users.
